Brows are a part of the makeup world that divides opinion; they are such a personal preference and someone’s idea of the perfect brow would strike fear into others.
I remember about a year ago when I was first starting to take makeup really seriously, I was doing a live on a Facebook group doing a typical blended out gradient effect green eye that has become a bit of a signature look for me; when someone on the chat said ‘make it editorial’, I was like what in the blazes are you going on about?
As it is the first Monday of the month, it is time for my Monthly Makeup Monday; last months edition was from ‘Pulp Fiction’, this month I took inspiration from the film musical ‘Funny Girl’
Until about a year ago I did not have a clue what a cut crease was let alone being able to do one. Being the eyeshadow addict that I am as soon as I saw people on Facebook groups trying to do them I knew I had to jump in and have a go.
I never hired a makeup artist to do my wedding makeup, partly due to being on a budget, but mainly because I wanted to do my own makeup.
If anyone has seen the cult favourite ‘Pulp Fiction’ then you will be familiar with the song above and the iconic scene in the movie where Mia Wallace and Vincent Vega (Uma Thurman and John Travolta) compete in the Jack Rabbit Slims twist contest. Since deciding to do this look I have had that song in my head all week.
It sounds a bit ridiculous for a beauty addict to limit themselves to just 6 products but that is exactly what I did for a makeup look.
