It is time for another haul and again I have been rummaging in the aisles of Primark for some budget-friendly beauty items. Mr T suggested we take a trip to the next town so he could get some stuff for his board game collection and I saw it as the perfect excuse to go to Primark. My master plan was to stock up on some eyeliner, however, I was distracted by the perfume section and holographic delights.
PS Love Emerald Perfume
When having a look at the perfumes, this one immediately caught my attention because of the name and the packaging suggested that this was a deeper perfume. I was quite surprised when I tried it and it did not smell how I expected but I still liked it, it reminds me of another perfume but I cannot think which one. This perfume is a blend of citrus and vanilla so it is a fruity but sweet smell which I feel is a great daytime perfume.
Jasmine and Honey Perfume spray
I bought these perfumes because people were raving about these on Youtube and blogs being similar to the Jo Malone perfumes. I love expensive fragrances but at £88 I would rather save my money so if these are good I will no doubt be purchasing more in the future. I wore this perfume on Christmas Eve and loved it, the jasmine making it exotic and the honey adding a sweetness to it. I took the 20ml spray with me so I could top up; the size of it is handy to throw into your handbag.
Mandarin and Basil Perfume spray
This is a dupe for the Jo Malone Lime, Basil and Mandarin and smells quite different to anything I have smelt recently. I am not quite sure on this one yet, it is more earthy than I am used to so maybe that is why the jury is out on it; I usually wear fruity or sweet fragrances. After trying this perfume out my verdict is a mixed one; it is overpowering at first but then fades, I can smell the mandarin notes after it has dried down which suits me as I like fruity perfumes.
Nail polishes in Butterscotch, holographic green and Black and silver glitter.
I have fallen back in love with nail polishes and cannot help add to my collection. I feel like these nail Polishes are completely different from each other and unlike anything I have in my collection already. I first saw the shade Butterscotch and it reminded me of caramel, it will be perfect for every season as it is a neutral polish. Although I have lots of green nail polishes I do not have any holographic nail polishes and I feel that has to change.
Holographic Lip Gloss
I am a magpie if it shines and sparkles I want it and this was no exception. I got this lip gloss on sale at just £1 and will only wear it when I have a special occasion; if I feel extra flashy. This lip gloss appeals to my inner unicorn, it might be frivolous but it made me happy do that is all that matters. I wore this lip gloss on Christmas Eve and it was sticky and I am not sure it was holographic but I did put it over my LA Splash liquid lipstick in the shade Romance so I will possibly try again without lipstick to see if it shows up better.
Lip liner in Biscuit
A nude lip liner is a staple in any makeup addicts bag and you can never get enough. I usually buy lip liners from Essence but they are awkward to get hold if so I thought I would give this lip liner a go. I love Primark lip crayons so if the lip liners are the same I will be happy. The only downside to these is you have to sharpen them but at £1 they are too cheap to not buy one. I usually put a nude liner under everything as it is just the easiest way to do it for me.
Aqua Line Waterproof Eyeliner
The whole reason I went into Primark was for eyeliner; my holy grail eyeliner is the 1 eyeliner from the PS range, it gives the perfect wing and is so easy to use. I was frustrated that my beloved eyeliner seemed to have disappeared, all I could find was the waterproof version. I was not sure that it would be the same type of nib and I could not check as there were no testers so I took a gamble and bought 3. I was frustrated that it is not the same as the one I love but they were only 2 and will still get used by myself anyway.
Eye kit – Cleopatra
Who doesn’t want their eyeliner like the iconic Egyptian Queen Cleopatra? On the hunt for my favourite felt tip eyeliner by the PS range I discovered that they had all disappeared and been replaced by these. I was so desperate to get my hands on the eyeliner that I took the plunge and bought one of these kits; I figured I needed the matte eyeshadow base for when I run out of my Essence primer base that is in my Project Pan challenge so I can’t replace that with this one. I was so happy when I opened it to find the eyeliner was the same as my usual favourite eyeliner, at least my eyeliner will be on point for a month.
Whenever I am in Primark I must pick up a pack of makeup sponges, it is a necessity. I always put my foundation and concealer on with a damp beauty sponge (I spray it with setting spray), it gives the best coverage and finish I find although I have not tried a makeup brush in over a year so I might give it a go again sometime as I got through sponges so fast.
I had no idea that Primark did washi tape and being the planner addict that I am I couldn’t resist getting these and they were reduced to 50p, what an amazing bargain. I love sticking washi tape in my bullet journal to brighten it up and make the pages look interesting, it is also handy for tab making so you can keep track of various sections of your planner/bullet journal.
What are your favourite perfumes , I would love to find out so I can add some more to the collection, let me know in the comments.
Ciao for now beauties xx
