Spring is upon us and I am taking advantage of the opportunity to shake up my makeup looks and bring the colour back into my life. I will only give a short introduction as the makeup looks speak for themselves.
We have all felt frazzled at one time or another. I had gotten to the point where I was near exhaustion and close to giving up on everything. At times like this, it is easy to forget about looking after yourself; your brain is in overload and you just want to power through all the things you need to do.
It’s trash talking time again. It does not seem to be that long that I did my last empties post but here I am, rummaging through my rubbish again so that I can give you my humble opinion on the products I have used up.
Social media has connected people from across the globe and has brought information to our fingertips. Social media has revolutionised how we stay connected to our friends and loved ones. Social media has provided jobs and careers to many people and has changed the way we entertain ourselves. But does social media have its downsides? Having seen the rise in social media before my eyes there are many things that have infuriated me.
The Year of women
It is the year of the woman; 100 years have passed since the suffragettes took their stand and protested and campaigned to get women the right to vote. Equality for women has progressed rapidly due to the brave actions of people who believe we should not be discriminated against due to our gender.
We are nearly there my beauties. We can finally start saying goodbye to the cold winter and start embracing what spring has to offer. Spring is such a beautiful time of year as brings new life, more sunshine and a chance to ‘spring clean’ everything around you. I love spring for the opportunity to freshen everything up and my makeup is no exception.
I love you Mum Mother’s Day is very near here in the UK and it is the opportunity to show our appreciation to our wonderful Mums. Being a Mother myself I can now appreciate how hard the job can be at times. My own Mum certainly deserves a lot of love for putting up with…
It’s been a long road
I never felt like this moment was never going to happen; I made the vow to get through one year of blogging. It has not been an easy journey and there have been many times when I have wanted to stop but I am so glad that I finally got to this Milestone of my blog being one year old. If I was to give advice to any new blogger it would definitely be to set yourself the challenge to blog for a whole year as I feel you get a complete picture on whether it’s right for you.
Being a teacher I witness younger people sometimes make a mistake that could have been avoided if they had listened to the wise words of experience. I do not profess to know everything or indeed be the wise sage that you see in many movies but I do have experience; I have made mistakes in my thirty-seven year and some of them I could have systematically avoided if I had listened to my elders.
This got me to thinking, what advice would I give myself at eighteen years old? I have decided to write this in the hope that it will bring guidance and help to others; I hope to show this to my children and hope that thy trust that my advice comes from learning from my mistakes and regrets I have.
January is a month we associate with fresh starts, resolutions and changes in our life and often many people decide that this year they want to lose weight. The diet and fitness industry is worth billions and often capitalises on all those people who have had one too many mince pies over the Christmas period and feel the pinch of their trousers and shirts after the festive period is packed up for another year
