What can you do in ten minutes? Could you do the ten minute makeup challenge? This challenge has been around in the makeup community for a while. The idea is to put on a full face of makeup in just ten minutes or under. I have been reflecting on the makeup I have been wearing…
It has been a while since I did a makeup tutorial. I thought I would take the opportunity to do my face and video the process at the same time. When I planned a summer makeup look I wanted to move away from the bolder and mermaid inspired tutorials. I took the inspiration for this…
Spring is upon us and I am taking advantage of the opportunity to shake up my makeup looks and bring the colour back into my life. I will only give a short introduction as the makeup looks speak for themselves.
First Impressions can be misleading
I am wary of a first impression of a product as it is not a real test on how good or bad a product is. Have you ever met someone and thought ‘this person is lovely’ only to find out down the line that they are the devil incarnate. Likewise I have met people that I did not warm to at first who are now firm friends. The same thing can be applied to your first impressions of a product. Whenever I do a haul or project pan, I am conscious that I am fallible to changing my mind about makeup after using it for a while. I even have a product on my disappointing products list that I would repurchase. I based my post on my first impressions and using the product up made me realise how good it was, I am a walking contradiction.
We are nearly there my beauties. We can finally start saying goodbye to the cold winter and start embracing what spring has to offer. Spring is such a beautiful time of year as brings new life, more sunshine and a chance to ‘spring clean’ everything around you. I love spring for the opportunity to freshen everything up and my makeup is no exception.
I am aware that I said in my last post that I did not like Valentines and the whole idea of it on account that you should show love all the time, not just once a year but that still doesn’t stop me from using it as an excuse to create some makeup looks for you all. The main reason I became obsessed with makeup was seeing pictures of other peoples makeup on various Facebook’s groups.
Whether it is a work event, a gathering with friends or a family get together, Christmas and New Year is the time to party on down with the people you love (or at least tolerate once a year because there is free food and drink). The age old question that springs to peoples minds when preparing for a big function is usually ‘what do I wear?’ However, for the makeup addict such as myself the first question that springs to mind is ‘what makeup look am I going to rock?’
Christmas, as you might know, is my favourite time of the year. This love also extends into my makeup looks, I really enjoy creating Christmas themed makeup looks from smoky eyes to full-on glitter eyes, I feel Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year to experiment with my eyeshadow looks; here are some of my favourite Christmas inspired looks, which one do you like best?
I feel like my lipstick addiction goes into overdrive as soon as autumn begins. I usually enjoy eyeshadow in the spring and summer and tend to go light on the lippy but as soon as the weather turns and September comes I am all for a bold lip.
Autumn is a season that many people adore, myself included, it combines so many beautiful things, all in one season. As the days grow shorter and the leaves on the trees start to turn; people get excited for the cosiness that Autumn brings with the rich colours, warm clothing, and comforting food.
