As we all know, with any community of people there is bound to be a difference of opinion and sometimes conflict; the term ‘drama’ replacing this concept in our age of social media and YouTube. In a community where everyone is different but all the same in that they are human beings, shouldn’t brands cater…
Do you remember playing with makeup as a child? One of my earliest memories involved three-year-old me colouring all my fingernails using felt tip pens because I was too young to use nail varnish; my dad having to use a nail brush to get it off my nails. There were countless times I would try and raid my mother’s makeup collection and I think I had some makeup designed for children as I used to paint the face of my Girl’s World
Who are Oh My Glitter?
I discovered indie makeup brand Oh My Glitter through the various Facebook makeup groups. Oh My Glitter is run by the lovely Robyn and I saw her makeup being recommended by lots of people, with many of my friends being loyal customers of hers. She is well known for her mystery packages and I snapped one up in September and was blown away by the attention to detail, care and love that had gone into the mystery box, it was an absolute treat to open it and I felt spoilt.
I have been a lucky girl this year; I feel well and truly spoiled and privileged to be able to have what I want. Since as my birthday is unbelievably near Christmas (3rd January), I usually get a lot of things combined together. I don’t bother as much with my birthday as much as I do with Christmas, as Mr T would say ‘It’s just another day’
The Year Life with Mrs T began
In March of this year, my blog began. Originally when I decided that it would be fun to do some blogging I was using Blogger and my Blog was called Mrs T’s Makeup Bag. I started on 5th March this year with a post called ‘Shop My Stash’ and the rest, they say, is history. I have learnt so much since I started my blogging journey, both about blogging and about myself as a person.
Whether it is a work event, a gathering with friends or a family get together, Christmas and New Year is the time to party on down with the people you love (or at least tolerate once a year because there is free food and drink). The age old question that springs to peoples minds when preparing for a big function is usually ‘what do I wear?’ However, for the makeup addict such as myself the first question that springs to mind is ‘what makeup look am I going to rock?’
Christmas, as you might know, is my favourite time of the year. This love also extends into my makeup looks, I really enjoy creating Christmas themed makeup looks from smoky eyes to full-on glitter eyes, I feel Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year to experiment with my eyeshadow looks; here are some of my favourite Christmas inspired looks, which one do you like best?
With Christmas around the corner, the big brands are scrambling to get you to spend your Christmas money on their products. Christmas gift sets have been around for ages, but it is only really in the last few years that holiday season, limited addition makeup has been tempting us makeup addicts. Now I am all for a good splurging at this time of year, my Christmas Decoration Haul proves that, but I am also a bit of a Scrooge when it comes to the whole holiday season makeup thing. So with a big old ‘Bah Humbug’ I bring you my second Anti Haul of all the products I will NOT be buying over the holiday season.
What is on your Christmas wish list? Whether you are young, old or somewhere in between, a wish list is an essential tool to let your loved ones know what you what to find under your tree come Christmas day. Since I have been a teenager I have been writing wish lists; whether it was…
Why do we wear make-up? When I was asking for questions for an upcoming post someone jokingly asked me ‘why do you wear so much makeup?’ My first response was because I can but then it got me thinking what is the psychology behind wearing makeup? Hopefully examining some of the reasons why I slap…
