Bringing out the Spring Nail Polishes A change is not necessarily a bad thing, especially when it comes to embracing Spring. There are two different types of beauty addict; those who wear their favourite colours/shades all year round and those that change with the season. Of those two I am more of the later; I…
Another haul; Superdrug, Beauty Bay and Primark I know, I said I would be shopping anymore. I have done well to curb the amount I spend on makeup but a few things slipped through the net in what was an absolutely horrendously busy month. I feel like this haul, apart from a few luxury items has been a practical collective shop. This…
Spring is upon us and I am taking advantage of the opportunity to shake up my makeup looks and bring the colour back into my life. I will only give a short introduction as the makeup looks speak for themselves.
It’s trash talking time again. It does not seem to be that long that I did my last empties post but here I am, rummaging through my rubbish again so that I can give you my humble opinion on the products I have used up.
I am trying not to spend unnecessary money on makeup and shop much smarter. There are so many products being released every week that it is hard to know what to get and how to spend your money in the wisest way.
First Impressions can be misleading
I am wary of a first impression of a product as it is not a real test on how good or bad a product is. Have you ever met someone and thought ‘this person is lovely’ only to find out down the line that they are the devil incarnate. Likewise I have met people that I did not warm to at first who are now firm friends. The same thing can be applied to your first impressions of a product. Whenever I do a haul or project pan, I am conscious that I am fallible to changing my mind about makeup after using it for a while. I even have a product on my disappointing products list that I would repurchase. I based my post on my first impressions and using the product up made me realise how good it was, I am a walking contradiction.
I first discovered tag posts when I started to watch YouTube and I think they are awesome. I adore tag posts because I get to find out about the person doing it, it stimulates the nosy side of my personality. There is a voyeuristic quality to posts that probe into the lives of people and the things that make them tick, it feeds my whole love for psychology and why we do things the way they do.
I love you Mum Mother’s Day is very near here in the UK and it is the opportunity to show our appreciation to our wonderful Mums. Being a Mother myself I can now appreciate how hard the job can be at times. My own Mum certainly deserves a lot of love for putting up with…
Why do a collective haul?
The simple reason for this is for productivity reasons. At my current rate of two posts a week I have realised that I do not have the space for as many hauls. The frequency of haul posts is alerting me to the fact that I have a slight shopping obsession.
What’s in my makeup box
I am a nosey person and enjoy seeing how people conduct their lives on a daily basis; this includes watching videos and reading blogs on how fellow makeup addicts store their makeup collections. Since as I enjoy looking into other people’s makeup collections and storage I figured I better practice what I preach and show you how I store my day to day makeup.
