Makeup I’m breaking up with.
I am sick and tired of all my clutter. I am slowly attempting to make a stand and declutter. This is a long process as I hate to throw things out; it feels like a waste. It is my mission to regularly go through my stuff and purge it. These are the products I will say goodbye to.
Maybelline lip liner dusty rose
I have only had this for about a year and I was sad to discover it had dried out early. I had barely used it and picked it out of my lip liner drawers for a project pan. I was horrified to find it dryer than a bone in a heatwave.
Essence lipliner in Satin Mauve
Another lip liner I have had to throw out. I have had this a while and have got good use out of it. However, being a pencil liner, the wood has weakened and most of the lead has come out of it. The Essence lip liners are great but I much prefer their retractable ones or their plastic style pencils.
Rimmel Exaggerate eyeliner in brown
I will throw this because it is well past its use by date. I do not use brown eyeliner so I do not have a need for this. I will not pass this on due to it being an eye product that could potentially spread infection.
Primark Aqualine eyeliner
This still has some life left in it and I could drag it out if I wished. However I have so many eyeliners that I need to make my way through some of them. I had this task hard for myself when I bought another eyeliner in a recent haul.
Collection Glam metals liquid eyeliner in Vinyl
I bought a ton of coloured liquid eyeliners when I felt adventurous and have never used them. Since I do not do makeup challenges anymore, I do not need them. I will try and make use of some of them over the holidays.
As my makeup is usually worn on work days I cannot use them much. I should have considered this before I clicked purchase but hindsight is wonderful.
Vichy Dermablend foundation in Porcelain
This is an amazing foundation, it is a shame it is the wrong shade for me. This foundation is too warm toned for me. I have been making it work for about two years and it has come to the end of its life. This foundation now oxidises too much and it just does not work anymore.
This is a great full coverage foundation that makes the skin look flawless. I would highly recommend this if you can find your shade match.
Makeup Revolution Renaissance Glow palette
This palette is a dupe for the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood bronze and glow. I got the palette as a Christmas present and have been using the bronzer religiously.
However, shortly after getting it, the pan on the bronzer broke. I repressed the bronzer and it worked well for a while. However, once I started hitting pan; that is when the problems started. Due to me having repressed it, every time I went to use it, it would break off in chunks and get everywhere.
I am throwing this because I cannot deal with the stress of it getting everywhere. I thought about emptying the bronzer and just keeping the highlight. However, I have so many highlights to use up I thought it was best to just have a clean break. It might feel wasteful but I have higher end highlighters I need to use up and I feel I have already got my money’s worth.
Olivia Hale foundation in Ivory Lace
I reviewed this foundation for my foundation post. It cost £1. As I said in my review, this was surprisingly ok for just a pound. However, I could not get over the strong floral smell, it frustrated the heck out of me. Also, I believe it irritated my skin also as I had a small reaction a few days after use.
Olivia Hale liquid eyeliner in black
This was not a good eyeliner. I only paid £1 so I did not lose out on much. The eyeliner applicator is not good and it was scratchy to apply. I will throw this out as I do not want to fight with it.
Do you regularly declutter? I would love to hear what you are getting rid of and why. Are you a minimalistic or a hoarder; let me know in the comments.
Ciao for now beauties xx
